Local News: In-n-Out Anniversary Hoax
A little rumor is circulating throughout LA emailers that our world famous In-n-Out Burgers was going to do a 60th Anniversary Celebration Deal this month… similar to when Phillipe’s in LA celebrated it’s 100th birthday last week. But it appears that the In-n-Out Celebration deal is a hoax.
President Mark Taylor has posted the following notice on the company website:
Dear Valued In-N-Out Guest,
There’s a rumor circulating that we are lowering menu prices for our 60th anniversary on October 22nd. This rumor is untrue. We’ve always tried to keep our prices as low as possible in order to give our customers the greatest values. One of the ways we accomplish this is ny not discounting and our anniversary is no exception. This philosophy allows you, our customer, to always know what to expect from us: the highest quality food always at a fair price.
We’re sorry if this rumor has caused any confusion. And as always, we thank you for your valued support.
Pity Mark. With the economy tanking, the idea of 25 cent burgers, 15 cent fries and dime cokes may be able all we can afford– and it would be PR In-N-Out couldn’t buy in advertising time. Ah another Cluetrain Moment in history.
